Chad Robertson

I’d like to pay a compliment to Chad Robertson. I was introduced to him by my boat captain, GW DePauw after unsuccessfully trying to buy a 35 ft Scout.

Chad took the initiative to survey the market and came up with a number of options for me. After discussing them, we chose a boat located in Stuart. Chad didn’t hesitate to personally inspect the boat and take it for a sea trial.

Once we decided to purchase the boat Chad advised me on a price strategy that was at a reasonable discount to the asking price and expedited the closing and delivery of the boat to Ocean Reef.

Although the paper work was complicated, Chad was well organized. From the start of the search process to delivery was only a little over one month.

To accomplish this, I got straight up advice and co-operation throughout the process. Chad certainly went out of his way to make this transaction happen and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends or associates.

My name is Jason Gonsalves and I am writing you this email in reference to
my experience with Chad Robertson as my Broker for my recent purchase
of a 2004 Sea Ray 420 Sundancer.

Let me first start by saying that when I began looking for a boat I was doing
the research on my own. I did not use a broker and I had no intention of using
a broker. I felt more comfortable dealing directly with the listing broker and was
under the impression that I would get a better deal going direct as apposed to
having my own broker.

By sheer luck and coincidence I found Chad and at first he was just assisting me
with my search but I did not commit to him as my broker. After a month of dealing
with Chad I decided to give him a shot since he had been a great help in getting
me so much information about various boats and boat manufacturers that I never
would have been able to obtain on my own.

I cannot begin to express my gratitude to Chad for all of the help he has been during
my search. He got me on any and every boat I was interested in. Any question I
had about a boat or an Engine Manufacturer Chad got me the answers. He also got
me out of a near disaster of a boat that I attempted to purchase. He did a great job
negotiating with the seller and he got me a great deal on the right boat for me. He
has assisted me post purchase with dockage and repairs. He put me in touch with
a great Captain who spent 2 entire days going over the boat with me and teaching me
the ins and outs of boating. The Captain also went to BOW with me and advised me on
what supplies I needed. I honestly could not have done this on my own. I am extremely
grateful to Chad and he is definitely my broker for life. His patience and dedication
to his Client and to his profession is commendable and greatly appreciated. I wouldn't
even think of selling my boat or buying another boat without Chad as my broker

We have had the pleasure of working with Chad Robertson over the course of this past summer in the sale of our 270 Outrage Boston Whaler. Chad showed impeccable work ethic and diligence during the selling process. In the past, we have discovered how difficult it is to sell a boat on your own and the lackluster results that come of it. Chad worked around our schedule and was able to show the boat quiet frequently. In many instances, he would go above and beyond what was expected of him. While all of this amount to a wonderful broker, Chad has also become a wonderful friend to our family. His personality is one such that when we met him, we knew almost instantly that we wanted him to represent us as our broker. He is kind yet outgoing and it makes for a fun experience whenever he is around. It has been an absolute joy working with Chad and we cannot wait to work with him again when we buy another boat!

My name is Mike Zappone and I'm writing to you because for the last several weeks I have been talking with Chad Robertson on buying a boat out of Miami. Due to a not great sea trial and some mechanical issues, the purchase didn't workout. However, I am writing to you to let you know what a great experience I had using Chad.

My family and I own a few Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram stores in New York and I just wanted to pass the message along. I know in our business you very rarely get the e mails of praise, but the problems always make it to your desk. I just wanted to let you know that Chad was very punctual in everything he said he was going to do and I trusted him over the phone over 1000 miles away. Maybe Chad and I will be able to find something down the road, but I wanted to make you aware of what a great job he does.

I met Rodney a few years ago. I told him I want to purchase a Motor Yacht and it would be a year or longer before I was ready to move forward. During that time period, I inquired about many yachts and talked with Rodney many times on the phone. He always answered my calls and sent me information on all the vessels I requested information on, even knowing I would not be making a purchase any time soon.

I recently told him I was ready to make a purchase. He sent me listings and information on several Motor Yachts and set up a schedule to view them. I arrived in Miami from Barbados and he met me at the airport and got me checked into a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. During the next week, we were looking at boats. I originally wanted a Horizon Motor Yacht. Somehow, he got me on a 68' Symbol Motor Yacht and I am glad he did. It was so much nicer than the Horizon. The Symbol looked as if it just came out of the mold and was in pristine condition. Needless to say, it surveyed extremely well and I am now the proud owner of that vessel and will be taking her to St. Thomas.

During this process, his son Chad Robertson, also a Yacht Broker at Denison helped out. Between the two of them, they took care of everything from A to Z. They negotiated a great deal for me, set up the survey and sea trial, got the vessel registered in my country, helped with insurance and took me to meet many vendors for other items I purchased for the vessel. They also arranged to have my vessel loaded onto a Yacht Transport Vessel to be shipped to the Caribbean.

It was a pleasure to work with Rodney and Chad as a family team. Being away from my country, they made me feel at home at we have become good friends. They were always looking out for my best interest in every aspect of this process. Their honesty and integrity is of the highest standards. As Yacht Brokers, they know their business and are true professionals! I will be recommending Rodney, Chad and Denison Yacht Sales to all my friends back in the Caribbean. It is not often that I feel compelled to write a brief letter of gratitude for a company’s services; however, working with Chad has made this yacht purchase a real pleasure, given all the nuances of purchasing a boat while living in another state.

We recently worked with Chad Robertson in buying our 2014 Princess 56 Fly, and we wanted to share our feedback on the experience with you.  We have been boating for many years, and we have owned five boats before the Princess. So we think it is fair to say that we have some comparative experience with how these transactions can go. Our experience with Chad has been exceptional. He is clearly an expert in the field, and his specific knowledge about this manufacturer, this model, and this individual boat have been impressive. Chad provided extensive guidance and support to us as we worked our way toward making what to us was a major decision and purchase.  He helped us with every step along the way, from determining the best logistics for seeing and evaluating a boat that was 1000 miles away from us during a pandemic, to identifying and working with engine and hull surveyors for us to consider and interview, to moving forward with an offer, to handling the surveys and sea trial, and finally arriving at a deal and completing the transaction. Also, Chad has an extensive network of colleagues in the industry and in the area, and he has been generous in sharing them with us, which has been a great help in handling the multiple arrangements for the boat. Chad’s diligence, attention to detail, and warm and straight-shooting personality made the transaction flow flawlessly, to the point where the process was actually enjoyable. As we’re sure you are well aware, Chad is someone who by his nature will go out of his way to help someone, and that trait has shown through very clearly here. No matter how difficult or trivial our question, and no matter what day or time, Chad has always made himself available to help us.  Even now that the transaction is closed, we are still in close contact with Chad, as he continues to help us with the myriad logistical issues and decisions we have to make as we complete some work on the boat and prepare to have the boat brought up to her new home on the Chesapeake. We feel very fortunate to have been able to work with Chad. We hope this feedback is helpful to you and your firm, and of course we’d be delighted to speak with you, your colleagues, or your clients at any time about our experience.
